Competition Terms and Conditions

1.1. Eligibility: The competition is open to all photographers worldwide who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- The photographer is a Filipino citizen (Proof of citizenship may be requested).
- The photograph was captured within the geographical boundaries of the Republic of the Philippines.
1.2. Submission Deadline: All entries must be received by the date stated in the submission form. Late entries will not be accepted.

2.1. Photo Authenticity and Originality: All submissions must be the original work of the Entrant. By submitting a photograph, the Entrant warrants and guarantees that:
- The photo was captured by the Entrant using a camera (digital or analog).
- The photo was NOT generated, in whole or in part, by Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, programs, or models (e.g., Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion).
2.2. Photo Integrity: Any manipulation or editing must not deceive the viewer or misrepresent the reality of the subject.
2.3. Subject Matter: [Host Name] reserves the right to disqualify any entry that contains content deemed offensive, culturally insensitive, illegal, or inappropriate, including but not limited to content that violates Philippine laws regarding child protection or obscenity.

3.1. Copyright Ownership: The Entrant (photographer) retains full copyright to their photographs.
3.2. Grant of License: By entering this competition, the Entrant grants Pearl & Leaf Café a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, and publish the submitted photographs for the following purposes:
- Promotion of the Competition: Use in connection with the current and future promotions of the competition or similar initiatives.
- Digital Display: Posting on official digital channels, including, but not limited to, the Pearl & Leaf Café website, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
- Physical Display: Use in physical exhibitions, printed materials, and in-store displays by Pearl & Leaf Café.
3.3. Attribution: Pearl & Leaf Café agrees to credit the photographer (the Entrant) whenever the photograph is displayed or published, where practically possible.
3.4. Commercial Use Restriction: The license granted in Section 3.2 is strictly for the promotion and exhibition of the competition and the artist’s work. Pearl & Leaf Café will not sell the photographs or use them for direct commercial profit (e.g., using the photo to advertise a product unrelated to the competition) without negotiating a separate, written agreement with the photographer.

4.1. Decisions are Final: The decisions of the judging panel are final and binding in all matters related to the competition.
4.2. Acceptance of Terms: Submission of an entry constitutes the Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions.
4.3. Governing Law: This competition is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
